    How To Apply For Membership.

From within the "Contact The Club" page either:
(1).  Send us an email and we will supply you with an application form.
(2).  Print off the application form, (PDF format), complete it and send it off to us.
 
Upon receipt of your application form, (don't forget the passport photographs), we will contact
you so that
a suitable day and time can be arranged for your initial visit at our premises.
 
We usually arrange initial visits for either Tuesday or Thursday evenings between the hours of
19:30 and
21:30.

The Probationary Period
 
  The probationary period consists of a three month instructional course during which the new member
  will be:
 
  • Made known to the local Police authority in accordance with legal requirements.
(see panel regarding Section 21)
  • Given a presentation of safety and correct firearms handling procedures.
  • Given "One-To-One" supervision in the firing ranges using all classes of firearms that the club is licenced for.
  • Coached to a satisfactory completion in the use of all calibres of firearms that the club is licenced for.
  • Continually appraised, a "Record Card" regularly signed by the Instructor for later reference by the Committee.
  • Appraised for a "Certificate Of Competence", which will enable the member to shoot on military-owned ranges. 
 Section 21  Of The Firearms Act  - Important Information
 
  It is an offence for any person who is prohibited by section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 (as amended) to have in
  their possession at any time firearms and ammunition.
 
  It is an offence for any person to transfer, let or hire, give or lend, any firearm or ammunition to another known to be,
  or having reasonable suspicion of being, a prohibited person under the conditions of section
21 of the Firearms Act.
 
  Section 21 applies to any person who has been sentenced to imprisonment or youth custody or detention within a
  Young Offenders Institution for three months or more.
 
  The period for which they are prohibited depends on their length of sentence:
  If the sentence was longer than THREE YEARS, the prohibition is for life.
  If the sentence was for THREE MONTHS or more, but less than THREE YEARS, the prohibition lasts for five years
  from the date of release.
